Project Description

QC’s subsidiary company, Qikiqtaaluk Business Development Corporation is the designated project manager on behalf of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) for several infrastructure projects related to the Tallurutiup Imanga National Marine Conservation Area.

Through the Tallurutiup Imanga Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreement and Tuvaijuittuq Agreements, QIA negotiated funding for essential infrastructure to support a conservation economy in the five High Arctic Tallurutiup Imanga Communities – Arctic Bay, Clyde River, Pond Inlet, Resolute Bay and Grise Fiord.

QBDC is the lead project manager for the planning of five multi-use facilities with food processing capacity in each of the five communities as well as a Regional Training Centre in Pond Inlet.
