Qikiqtaaluk Corporation is proposing to build the first Inuit owned full-service hotel and conference facility in the Capital City of Nunavut. As such, the project is to project an exemplary image reflective of it context.
The Property is to include a 96 room facility, a 5000sf conference centre, a lounge, a restaurant, commercial space, a gym and spa among others.
As the future of the North becomes increasingly affected by resource and energy exploration from around the world, it is imperative that the presence of Nunavut’s people and values is emphasized.
The building design is to be inspired by and reflect the traditions, culture and values of all Nunavut communities. The new facilities are to represent a new era in Inuit and Nunavut social and economic vision.
