The Nunavut Fisheries and Marine Training Consortium (NFMTC) is a not-for-profit organization created in 2005 to provide training opportunities to Nunavut beneficiaries interested in pursuing careers in the fishing industry. NFTC strives to provide the majority of the training courses in Nunavut, either in the community or in Iqaluit. The training facility is home to top of the line training supplies and navigation simulators. NFMTC supports training in the marine sector including but not limited to the fisheries, safety, cargo and transport and research.
