Kiewit, Qikiqtaaluk form QC-Kiewit

Iqaluit, Nunavut, June 20, 2012 – Kiewit and Qikiqtaaluk Corporation (QC) today announced the strategic formation of QC-Kiewit Constructors ULC, which will build upon the construction expertise of both companies. The new entity will operate in all the Nunavut Territory with the intent of pursuing construction and mining projects in an effort to further the development and economic grown of the area.
“QC’s regional experience in the north combined with Kiewit’s construction capacity lends itself to some very interesting synergies,” said Chris Loeffler, sr. vice president and division manager of Kiewit.
“QC and Kiewit are both companies with a pro-active, professional approach and a strong social commitment, which makes it a winning partnership for our clients and our employees, said Harry Flaherty, president of QC.
QC-Kiewit will be based in Iqaluit, NU, with satellite offices in Milton, ON and Boisbriand, QC.
